Being a newbie to Mountain biking with an old “Halfords special” I was keen to get up around the Dee Valley peaks near Llangollen. I had no idea of the local trails, the correct clothing or the advancement of mountain bikes over the past 15 years as I had only been a “Road rider”
Darren has a genuine passion for the sport with lots of knowledge, advice and skills to teach the much less experienced mountain biker such as myself.
I would certainly recommend getting out on the natural trails, Llandegla and Coed y Brenin trail centres with him.
Fun, adventure and self discovery is guaranteed.
You will be well guided and have a blast.
Don’t forget your energy bars!

Booked Darren for a guided emtb tour of the Gwydir Mawr a Bach ( Marin trail)
Met at the main carpark and started with an inspection of my bike and equipment to make sure all was well then a few fun cycle tests ( hard braking , Balancing at slow speeds nothing too technical just basic handling tests really ) then a discussion of the trail and what to expect and then off we went , some of me following Darren some of him following me and although it was a guided ride not a riding tutorial he gives plenty of tips and encouragement and before long my confidence grew and grew towards the end of the ride I felt I was riding better than ever with better body positioning and foot positioning I would highly recommend and guided ride and I will be re booking soon
